The
main surgery on the West Wycombe Road was started by Mellis Archard
in 1958. He worked there as the only veterinary surgeon but work
demands grew in the 60's and 70's. Mellis aquired number 52 West
Wycombe Road and converted the 2 'semi's' into the one detached
surgery in the mid 60's. Further extensive alterations and extensions
were undertaken on three seperate occasions between 1977 and 1996.
The High Wycombe surgery underwent extensive updating
and modernisation beginning in 2004 and was completed in mid 2005
The reason for these works has always been to try and create a
pleasant enviroment for clients, animals and staff, but the over-riding
driving force has always been to try to enable all involved to
do the best for our patients.
The staff of the Crossroads Veterinary Centre are a dedicated
and enthusiastic team. We all love our veterinary work and the
animals we treat.
Over the years our primary effort has been to maintain a warm
and friendly practice. We never forget you the owner, and your
needs in what can sometimes be very difficult circumstances. As
animal lovers ourselves, we understand how pets become treasured
friends and family members. We are constantly assessing our services
and caring skills and welcome comments and suggestions.
Two of the three surgeries have now undergone major refurbishment.
We all recognise how important it is to maintain the small intimate
clinic. At the same time however, medicine is constantly advancing
and clients are able to request far more procedures for the benefit
of their animals. We believe that we are maintaining the balance,
but this is always being assessed.
